Boot-tracing: A fun method of de-protecting games

This will be a live demonstration of “boot tracing” a copy-protected game. Starting with an un-copyable disk and an Apple II monitor prompt, we’ll proceed step-by-step through the initial load of a game until we (hopefully) locate and disable its copy-protection code. Knowledge of 6502 assembly language is helpful but not required to enjoy the session.
