We are thrilled to announce that Jordan Mechner will join us remotely for a chat on Thursday, July 18, to kick off the main sessions at KansasFest 2024.
Not only does KansasFest 2024 mark the 40th anniversary of the Apple //c, it also marks the 40th anniversary of Karateka, Jordan Mechner’s much-beloved and groundbreaking game. This year, Jordan has published the English version of “Replay,” a graphic novel that is part autobiography and part family history (the French version published last year, won the 2023 Chateau de Cheverny history graphic novel prize). Last year, Digital Eclipse produced “The Making of Karateka,” their first interactive documentary in their Gold Master series. And of course, after Karateka, Jordan went on to write Prince of Persia.
